All iPhone 15 models have slightly larger batteries than last year's devices

You’ll be glad to hear that all iPhone 15 models have slightly larger batteries than their predecessors. The difference is almost not worth noting, however, as the bump is almost here.

This information has been revealed by the Chinese regulatory database. The iPhone 15 comes with a 3,349mAh battery, while the iPhone 15 Plus includes a 4,383mAh battery. The iPhone 15 Pro has a 3,274mAh battery, while the Pro Max variant includes a 4,422mAh battery.

Now, the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max have the following battery capacities: 3,279mAh, 4,325mAh, 3,200mAh, and 4,323mAh, respectively.

That means that the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max got a bump of 70mAh, 58mAh, 74mAh, and 99mAh, respectively. As you can see, the iPhone 15 Pro Max got the most notable bump out of these four phones.

These improvements are nice to see, though it would be nicer to see bigger bumps, to be quite honest. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, in particular, didn’t exactly deliver great battery life.

Let’s hope the new SoC will make a significant difference

Truth be said, the new models come with an all-new SoC, which should be more power efficient, so perhaps that will be enough in collaboration with these slight battery bumps. It will be truly disappointing if that’s not the case.

We’ll have to wait and see, of course. The phones have been announced, but the reviews are not in yet. Now, as far as charging is concerned, Apple once again recommends a 20W charger.

In other words, the charging hasn’t improved compared to last year’s models. You’re still getting 20W wired, and 15W wireless charging. The phones once again ship without a charger in the box, so you’ll need to get one separately.
