As we’re getting closer to Apple’s September event to unveil the iPhone 15, more details about the next generation iPhone surfaced online. According to Phone Arena report, iPhone 15 woven cases might land in 10 different colors.

The news comes on the heels of a leak by Kosutami that shared a picture of iPhone 15 new woven cases on his X account. The leaker states that the iPhone 15 cases are made of “Eco-fiber Leather” and support MagSafe. Kosutami also said Apple will use the same material for new Apple Watch bands.

The new woven cases are supposed to be more eco-friendly and support Apple’s environmental agenda. Previous iPhone cases were mostly built of leather and drew criticism from environmentalists.

As per Kosutami’s leak, the iPhone 15 woven cases have rubber-wrapped bezels. They are also a bit darker than the primary color. Additionally, the cases will launch in 10 colors, giving customers a wide range of options to choose from. The available colors are Black, Mulberry, Taupe, Evergreen, Pacific Blue, Wisteria, Antique White, Butter Yellow, Orange, and Pink.

Kosutami says Apple calls the new cases “FineWoven.” However, the company marketing team might change its mind ahead of the official launch and reveal its eco-friendly cases under a new name.

Replacing leather with eco-fiber leather is probably a part of Apple’s net-zero plan. The tech giant formerly stated that the reason to remove the charger from iPhone boxes is to prevent “mining a significant amount of materials from the earth.” The company is also committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2030.

Apple iPhone 15 will be revealed at the Wonderlust event on September 12. We already know the lineup will land in 10 colors, with four colors dedicated to the Pro models. The phone might replace its famous Lightning port with USB-C. The change is due to the European Union’s obligation for a common charging standard in the continent. iPhone 15 is also expected to get a significant makeover.
