How many variants are there?

Just like the past couple of years, there are three models. There’s a base Galaxy Tab S9, and that’s accompanied by the Galaxy Tab S9+ and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.

What are their specs?

These tablets bring top-of-the-line specs to the table for power users.

Galaxy Tab S9

This model has the most modest specs, but it doesn’t lag behind in every department. It has an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display that has a 120H refresh rate. Last year’s Galaxy Tab S8 had an LCD display while the other models had AMOLED displays. This time around, the most affordable model shares the same display technology.

As for the internals, the Galaxy Tab S9 uses the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. This is the same processor powering the two higher-powered models as well. There are two RAM/storage configurations that you can choose from. One is an 8GB/128GB configuration, and the other is a 12GB/256GB configuration.

Moving on to the battery, this tablet uses a large 8,400mAh battery. The Galaxy Tab S9 has a 13MP camera on the rear. This camera has autofocus technology in case you need to use it in a pinch. Up front, there’s a 12MP ultrawide camera. You’ll be using this camera to make your video calls. The ultrawide field-of-view allows you to fit more people into the frame.

Galaxy Tab 9+

This is the middle child of the three, and there’s not too much that differentiates it from the base model. It has the same display technology, but the screen is a bit bigger at 12.4 inches.

The processor is the same, but the RAM/storage configurations are different. There’s a 12GB/256GB configuration and a 12GB/512GB configuration.

Keeping the lights on, there’s a 10,090mAh battery. The Galaxy Tab S9+ has a 13MP camera on the rear just like the base model. However, it also has an additional 8MP ultrawide camera. Up front, you’ll see the same 12MP ultrawide camera that is on the base model.

Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra

This is the most premium of the three models, and it sits apart from the other siblings. This tablet has a 14.6-inch display, which is larger than the Galaxy Tab S8.

The Ultra model has three RAM/storage configuration options. There’s the 12GB/256GB model that’s followed by the 12GB/512 model. At the top of the pack, there’s the 16GB/1TB configuration.

Powering the tablet, we have an 11,200mAh battery. This model has the same rear cameras as the Galaxy Tab S9+, but the Ultra model has two 12MP cameras up front.

The Galaxy Tab S9 uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for all three of the models. All three of these tablets use the Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology and quad-speaker setup with AKG-tuned speakers. Also, these tablets all have an under-display fingerprint scanner.

Moving onto connectivity, all three of these tablets have 5G connectivity, LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth 5.3. As for software, these tablets all come with Android 13 out of the box.
