Google hasn’t even announced the Pixel 8 yet, but here we are with the Pixel 8a already leaking out with full images. This leak comes courtesy of @yabhishekhd on X. Which shows off the new design that Google is using for the Pixel 8a. Remember, the Pixel 8a isn’t due to be released until next Spring. Likely at Google I/O in May.

The Pixel 8a has a pretty rounded display, at least according to these leaks. The corners are a lot more rounded than previous Pixel devices. Which is an interesting look for this device, and almost makes it look “cheap”. This particular model is a bright blue, which does look absolutely stunning.

On the back, there’s the usual camera bar, with what looks like still just two cameras. That’d be the wide and ultrawide sensors, similar to the current Pixel 7a. And the front is a flat display with a hole punch for the camera, as expected.

What to expect from the Google Pixel 8a

The Google Pixel 8a will likely debut next May. So we’re still many months out from it actually being announced – which means plenty more leaks. But there are a few things we already know about the device.

It will most definitely be running on the Tensor G3 processor. This is the processor that we will see debut in the Pixel 8 series in just a couple of weeks.

Now, it’s important to take this leak with a grain of salt, as we are over 8 months out from the official unveiling. So this could be one of the many prototypes that Google has done for the Pixel 8a. That’s very common for new smartphones, even those with such little design changes, get many different prototypes in the design process. And we’ve got quite some time to wait and see when it’ll be announced, and if it’s true.
