As you all know, the Pixel 8 series did not launch yet, and yet Google showed us the Pixel 8 Pro yet again. The phone popped up on a Google Store page, actually, as pointed out by @Android_Setting on X.

Google showed us the Pixel 8 Pro design yet again

The phone appeared on a page promoting Google’s subscriptions and services, including the Pixel Pass. In any case, if you check out the image below, you’ll see a man talking on a phone, and that phone is the Pixel 8 Pro.

Pixel 8 Pro porcelain image 1

This is the ‘Porcelain’ Pixel 8 Pro. You can easily notice that’s the phone in question based on the camera visor on the back. The cameras on the Pixel 7 Pro are separated, all three are joined here.

The phone also leaked in a video, this is definitely not the first time we’re seeing the phone. CAD-based renders also pointed to this design, so this seems to be the final build.

As you can see, the Pixel 8 Pro will be very similar to the Pixel 7 Pro in terms of design. The main differentiating factor are those cameras on the back, which we’ve mentioned already. Its display will also be a bit flatter than usual. It still won’t be flat, but not as curved as the one on the Pixel 7 Pro.

Both Pixel 8 phones will launch in October

The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are expected to become official at some point in October. We still don’t know when will Google host its event, but it’s coming, as is the case every year.

These two phones will be the first devices to ship with Android 14 out of the box. They will be fueled by the Google Tensor G3 processor, by the way, in case you were wondering.

Google is tipped to bring some new software-related features to the table, such as video unblur. Both smartphones will be made out of metal and glass, while the Pixel 8 will be noticeably smaller than its predecessor. That’s a good thing, as the size difference between the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will be notable this time around, creating more of a difference between devices.
