The very first HONOR Magic 6 Pro info has surfaced, and it reveals a feature inspired by the iPhone. This information comes from Digital Chat Station, one of China’s most prominent tipsters.

The HONOR Magic 6 Pro will seemingly have a feature inspired by the iPhone

The HONOR Magic 6 Pro could include a centered pill-shaped cutout. Its predecessor, as many of you know, has such a cutout in the top-left corner of its display. So, this one will resemble the one on the iPhone 14 Pro series.

That’s not all, though. The tipster also suggests that HONOR adapted its MagicOS 8.0 skin to work with that pill-shaped cutout. He suggests that we may get some features similar to what iOS offers.

In other words, MagicOS 8.0 could try to blend the hardware and software into one, and use that cutout to its advantage with various animations and whatnot. Some first-party apps could also be adapted to it, similar to what Apple did.

Android 14 will come pre-installed on the device, along with MagicOS 8.0

MagicOS 8.0 will be based on Android 14, of course. The HONOR Magic 6 Pro will retain its 3D facial scanning feature, which is one of the reasons that the pill-shaped cutout is included in the first place.

HONOR is also expected to offer its own microkernel, which will work in collaboration with MagicOS 8.0, to make the entire experience that much smoother. That will also help with power consumption.

The HONOR Magic 5 Pro arrived back in February this year. The Magic 6 Pro is expected to drop before the end of the year, but we’re still not sure when will that happen.

HONOR has a lot on its plate. The HONOR Magic V2 foldable managed to attract a lot of attention in Berlin earlier this month, and that device is expected to launch to markets outside of China soon. The HONOR V Purse, on the other hand, is coming to China later this month. That fashion-forward phone was also presented in Berlin, but it was only a ‘concept’ back then.
