On January 11 Lenovo unveiled their thinnest ThinkPad ever. The new ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga has a titanium material covering and is just over 11mm thin. It also features a beautiful 3:2 ratio 13.5-inch low power display along with Dolby Vision HDR support and Dolby Atmos Speaker System.
The Think X1 Titanium Yoga wasn’t the only new ThinkPad to be announced at CES. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 and X1 Yoga Gen 6 have been completely refreshed. They both bring along an improved user experience built around an all-new 16:10 ratio display with a low blue light feature.
Also, along for the ride is an integrated fingerprint reader on the power button. There is also Computer Vision Experiences (CVx) support by human presence detection sensor for enhanced security and ease of use.
The X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga are the world’s first laptops with Dolby Voice
Both the X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga are the world’s first to include a new feature. In addition to Dolby Vision and the Dolby Atmos Speaker System, there is Dolby Voice. Dolby Voice delivers a supreme conferencing experience that feels more natural, reduces listener fatigue, and sounds stunningly clear to make meetings more productive.
This should be very welcome as remote work and remote learning continue to be the norm. These new models are also 5G ready. Along with the blazing X1 Fold and ultra-light X1 Nano, the premium ThinkPad X1 portfolio is no 5G ready.
But wait there is more. There is the ThinkPad X12 Detachable. This model combines the features of a high-performance laptop with the flexibility of a 12.3-inch detachable tablet. It has Corning Gorilla Glass to protect it. The display supports input from both the optional Lenovo Precision Pen or the Lenovo Digital Pen.
In addition, there is a backlit folio keyboard that enables seamless transitions between modes. Lenovo also is bringing the next level of intelligent docking experiences which is led by the new ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C Universal and Smart Docks.
These are designed to address dock manageability pain points brought by increased work-from-anywhere scenarios. The docks allow for silent detection, download, and installation of firmware updates. Powered by Microsoft Azure Sphere the docks further enhance functionality by providing remote capabilities for updates, device management, and port status monitoring.

50 percent of employees feel their devices are out-of-date. Lenovo and Intel learned this by sponsoring a recent study. These new ThinkPads should help alleviate that.
All of the ThinkPad X1 models include 5G-ready options that enable faster wireless WAN connection speeds. They all have built-in WiFi 6 and on the X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga, there is Dolby Voice. The latest upgraded X1 portfolio supports Dolby Vision on select displays for lifelike image quality.
The ThinkPad X1 portfolio (X1 fold excepted) has the Intel Evo platform and powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors. Having improved Security and ComputerVision Experiences (CVx) with Human Presence Detection there Is zero-touch log-in through Windows Hello.
Now if you plan to purchase one of these new devices then you won’t have to wait long. Starting this month both the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga and the ThinkPad X12 Detachable will be available this month. The prices are $1899 and $1149 respectively.
However, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and the ThinkPad X1 Yoga will be available next month. These will cost $1429 and $1569 respectively. The ThinkPad Docking solutions will be available and a later date. The pricing is not available at the moment.
