Samsung offers a bunch of optional accessories for its newly launched flagship tablet series, the Galaxy Tab S9. If you’re not familiar with them or unsure which one to pick, the company has just released a short promo video showcasing several accessories. The video showcases the standard and slim Book Cover Keyboard, Smart Book Cover, Outdoor Cover, Notepaper Screen, and Privacy Screen.
The standard Book Cover Keyboard is a detachable keyboard accessory that comes with a sizable trackpad and a separate back cover with a stand. It supports up to a 150-degree viewing angle, while you can simply detach the keyboard and only use the back cover to extend your viewing angle. It also offers Wireless Keyboard Sharing, allowing you to type on compatible Galaxy smartphones.
This keyboard accessory is priced at $200 for the vanilla Galaxy Tab S9, $230 for the Plus, and $350 for the Ultra. If these prices are a bit too much for you, the Slim version is available at $140, $160, and $200, respectively. It lacks a trackpad but offers pretty much everything else, including an attached back cover and Wireless Keyboard Sharing. Samsung offers these keyboard accessories in Black only.
If you don’t want a keyboard but a sturdy stand to go hands-free while watching videos or reading on your Galaxy Tab S9, the Smart Book Cover can hold the tablet in both portrait and landscape modes. It also offers protection to the tablet’s back panel. Samsung has priced this accessory at $80, $90, and $100 for the three models, respectively. You can buy it in either White or Black.
The Outdoor Cover, meanwhile, offers military-grade (MIL-STD 810G-516.7) toughness to protect your tablet from drops and bumps. It also comes with a stand, which doubles as a grip for carrying the device around. Samsung has only made this cover for the vanilla Galaxy Tab S9 ($60) and Galaxy Tab S9+ ($70). It is available in Titan color.

Galaxy Tab S9 buyers can also pick a couple of screen accessories. Firstly, there’s the Notepaper Screen Panel that makes writing or drawing with the S Pen on your tablet as smooth and satisfying as using pen and paper. People who heavily use the S Pen may find it handy. This accessory will set you back by $45, $50, or $55, depending on your Galaxy Tab S9 model.
Last but not least, Samsung offers a Privacy Screen Panel that does precisely what its name suggests. It restricts the viewing angle to about 30 degrees in landscape mode, blocking people around you from seeing what you are doing on your Galaxy Tab S9’s screen. It costs $60, $65, and $70, respectively for the vanilla, Plus, and Ultra models. All of these accessories are now available to buy from Samsung’s official website.
