Some OnePlus 12 details have just been revealed, including its camera, battery, and SoC tidbits. This info comes from a tipster who spilled the beans on Weibo.
The OnePlus 12 camera, SoC & battery info seemingly revealed
The OnePlus 12 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which surprises nobody, basically. OnePlus always uses the latest flagship chips from Qualcomm, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be it at the time.
The device will also feature a narrow, curved display, it is said, which will have a display camera hole at the top. That camera hole will be centered. The exact display size was not revealed, but we’re guessing a similar size to the one on the OnePlus 11, which is 6.7 inches.
This tipster claims that the OnePlus 12 will feature a 50-megapixel main camera, with a Sony IMX9 series sensor. A 50-megapixel ultrawide camera will also be included, and a periscope telephoto camera too (OmniVision OV64B sensor).
A 5,000mAh battery is also tipped, along with 150W wired charging
A 5,000mAh battery is expected to be included too, while the phone will allegedly offer 150W charging support. We’re talking about wired charging here, of course. The US may, once again, get slightly reduced charging speed.
That is basically all the info that the tipster shared. It’s also worth noting that the phone could include uniform bezels, at least based on a recent rumor.
The OnePlus 12 will become the company’s new flagship smartphone. It will likely launch in China in December or January, while a global launch will follow at some point in Q1 2024.
Before that device arrives, however, the OnePlus 11T is expected. Nothing has been confirmed just yet, however, and some rumors even claim that the T series phone won’t launch this year at all. We’ll have to wait and see, but it’s a possibility, as the OnePlus Fold aka OnePlus V Fold will launch in the near future.
