It seems like OnePlus aims to offer a whopping 24GB of RAM on its upcoming smartphone. The device in question is called the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, and it’s coming soon.

The OnePlus Ace Pro was basically the same phone as the OnePlus 10T, but in a different market. We’re expecting the same to happen this year, as it’s expected to be based on the upcoming OnePlus 11T.

OnePlus wants to offer 24GB of RAM on its upcoming high-end phone

Having said that, a well-known tipster, Digital Chat Station, went to Weibo to reveal this exciting news. He claims that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be offered with 16GB of RAM, as standard. The top-of-the-line model, however, will offer 24GB of RAM.

Just to be clear, we’re not talking about virtual RAM here, not at all. OnePlus seemingly wants to offer 24GB of actual LPDDR5X RAM with the device. In other words, the company will use the fastest RAM available on the market.

He also confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will fuel the device, while the variant with 24GB of RAM will also include 1TB of internal storage. We presume OnePlus will go for UFS 4.0 storage.

That device will offer a large display with high refresh rate, 120W fast charging & more

You can also expect a large AMOLED display on the device, which will offer a high refresh rate, of up to 120Hz. A 5,000mAh battery will likely be used, and the phone will also offer 120W fast wired charging. We’re unsure about wireless charging.

Having said that, the OnePlus Ace Pro launched in August last year. It arrived 6 days after the OnePlus 10T. So, if OnePlus wants to keep that pace, the OnePlus 11T should launch in early August, followed by the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro.

Some of you are probably wondering if the OnePlus 11T will also offer up to 24GB of RAM? Well, that is not as likely. If we had to guess, we’d say that it will be offered with up to 16GB of RAM, or in that version only, globally. We’ll see.
