The OnePlus Open is coming, but before it launches, we’ll see its twin on the big stage. The device in question is the OPPO Find N3, of course, and it’s tipped to launch later this month.

The OnePlus Open’s twin is coming later this month, it would seem

This information comes from Digital Chat Station, through Abhishek Yadav. What’s interesting is that Abhishek Yadav is referring to the phone as the OPPO Find N3 Fold, instead of the OPPO Find N3. Chances are that the latter is accurate, though.

The first model was the OPPO Find N, the second Find N2, so it’s only appropriate for the third one to be the Find N3. That is, however, OPPO’s book-style foldable series of smartphones, of course. The clamshell foldable has the ‘Flip’ addition past the ‘N’ branding.

The OPPO Find N3 Flip already launched, last month. So, all we’re waiting for is the OPPO Find N3 now. That phone will allegedly launch in China before the end of the month.

Abhishek Yadav claims that the global variant of the phone will be the OnePlus Open, which is not the first time we’re hearing this. The two phones will allegedly be completely identical when it comes to hardware.

The OPPO Find N3 will probably be exclusive to China

Considering that the OnePlus Open is coming, chances are the Find N3 won’t be available in markets outside of China, the same as its predecessors. OnePlus and OPPO are both a part of the same company, BBK Electronics.

You can expect a design similar to the OPPO Find N2, but with a different camera island on the back. The phone will also be larger than the Find N2, but retain a similar aspect ratio to its predecessor.

Both phones are expected to include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, with plenty of RAM. LPDDR5X RAM will almost certainly be used, along with UFS 4.0 flash storage.

Improved cameras will be included too, with Hasselblad as part of the offering once again. The expectations are huge for OPPO’s and OnePlus’ foldables this year.
