Ulefone has just announced a new smartphone, the Armor 22. That is the company’s new rugged smartphone, as it’s part of the company’s ‘Armor’ series. This phone comes with the so-called NightElft Ultra 2.0 camera setup, which is an interesting branding.

Let’s first talk about the design, though, before we get down to specs and everything else. The Ulefone Armor 22 does look like a rugged phone. It sure looks like it can take a hit, in addition to being water and dust resistant. Yes, the phone is rated for both. It is MIL-STD-810H and IP68/IP69K rated.
It has a flat display, with a waterdrop display notch at the top. A side-facing fingerprint scanner is included, and built into the power/lock button. The bezels around the display are not the thinnest, but that is to be expected considering this is a rugged smartphone.
Now, when we flip the phone around, you’ll see the ‘NightElft Ultra 2.0 camera’. Ulefone opted for this branding here, while there are two 64-megapixel units included on the back. One of them is referred to as a ‘night vision camera’.

The main camera is a 64-megapixel unit with Sony’s IMX686 sensor on the inside. It has an f/1.89 aperture, and this is a 1/1.7-inch sensor. We’re looking at a 0.8um pixel size here. A second camera is a 64-megapixel unit too, but a ‘night vision’ one. It uses Ulefone’s ‘NightElft Ultra 2.0’ algorithm, and offers better stabilization. 2 infrared LEDs are also included here. A single 8-megapixel selfie camera is also a part of the package.
The phone is fueled by the MediaTek Helio G96 processor. It includes 8GB of RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Do note that you can expand that storage, as you can add an additional 512GB via a microSD card.
A 6.58-inch fullHD+ (2408 x 1080) LCD display is included here. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone also supports facial scanning, and two SIM card slots. 4G connectivity is supported here.
The phone has a 6,600mAh battery, and supports 33W charging
Android 13 comes pre-installed on the phone, while a 6,600mAh battery is included too. The Ulefone Armor 22 supports 33W wired charging, and the charger is also a part of the package.
The Ulefone Armor 22 measures 176.8 x 84.9 x 15mm, while it weighs 324 grams. It comes in All Black and Some Green color options. The ‘All Black’ model has orange accents, while the ‘Some Green’ model has green accents.
