In addition to the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3, which stole the spotlight during Xiaomi’s press event, the company announced several new devices. Xiaomi announced the Band 8 Pro fitness tracker, along with the Pad 6 Max, a large tablet.

Let’s focus on the fitness tracker first, though, shall we? This thing does resemble an Apple Watch, to an extent. It has a rectangular shape, and comes in a wide variety of watch bands. You can make it look as fancy or as sporty as you’d like.

The device is made out of fiber high-sitting polymer NCVM, and has a 1.74-inch AMOLED display (336 x 480 resolution). An optical heart rate and bloody oxygen sensor are included, along with an ambient light sensor, and some additional sensors.

The device supports continuous heart rate tracking, continuous blood oxygen saturation monitoring, 24/7 sleep tracking, and more. Bluetooth 5.3 is also supported, as is GNSS and NFC.

It offers support for over 150 sports activities

There are over 100 watch faces on offer, and this fitness tracker can keep track of over 150 sports activities. It offers battery life of up to 14 days, and it is 5ATM certified. You can, of course, receive notification on it, it can serve as an alarm on your hand, and more. The Xiaomi Band 8 Pro measures 46 x 33.35 x 9.99mm, while it weighs 22.5 grams (without a wristband).

This thing comes in a variant with a TPU wristband, and a model with a leather wristband. The two variants are priced at CNY399 ($54) and CNY499 ($68), respectively. This fitness tracker could make its way to global markets too, we’ll see.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max is the company’s latest tablet, and it’s quite large

The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, on the other hand, is a rather large tablet. It comes with flat sides, and two cameras on the back. It does resemble the latest iPad to an extent.

Xiaomi’s latest tablet features a 14-inch display with a 2880 x 1800 resolution. It offers a variable refresh rate ranging from 30 to 120Hz. HDR10 is supported here, as is Dolby Vision. The display is protected by the Gorilla Glass 5.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 fuels the device, while it was announced in variants with 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Those three variants include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of UFS 3.1 flash storage, respectively.

The device includes a 10,000mAh battery, supports 67W wired charging, and has 8 speakers

Android 13 comes pre-installed here, along with MIUI Pad 14. A 10,000mAh battery is also a part of the package, while the device supports 67W wired charging, and it includes a charger in the box.

There are 8 speakers included here, and four microphones. Bluetooth 5.3 is also supported. A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.8 aperture) is backed by a depth sensor on the back. A single 20-megapixel camera sits on the front.

Xiaomi did also announce a smart touch keyboard for this device. It has 15 independent shortcut keys. There is also the Xiaomi FOcus Stylus with a 5ms delay, and 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity.

The price of the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro goes from CNY3,799 ($523) to CNY4,799 ($661). The Smart Touch keyboard is priced at CNY799 ($110), while the Xiaomi Focus Stylus costs CNY499 ($68). It remains to be seen whether these devices will arrive to more markets.
