Xiaomi has officially announced the launch date of its next-gen foldable smartphone. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will launch on August 14, in China. The press event will kick off on August 14.

We’re still not sure whether this device will see a global launch, though. The first two models did not, but this one might have, though rumors are claiming it will not. We’ll have to wait and see. Xiaomi probably won’t mention anything during the event, but who knows, the company may surprise us.
Having said that, Xiaomi also shared an official teaser video along with this confirmation. You can check out the video by clicking here. If not, we’ve included some screenshots from that video in the gallery below. All the things you should know are visible in those screenshots.
Parts of the phone are shown here. You can clearly see that it will be extremely thin, and that its flat sides will have chamfered edges. Its hinge is also shown here, as is its rear camera setup.
It will include four cameras on the back, backed by Leica
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will have four cameras on the back, which will be backed by Leica. If we had to guess, we’d say that the main, wide-angle camera will be backed by an ultrawide unit, a telephoto camera, and a periscope telephoto camera.
Based on rumors, one telephoto camera will offer a 3.2x optical zoom, while the periscope one will support a 5x optical zoom. The phone is also said to be using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
Its main display will allegedly measure 8.02 inches, while the cover display will measure 6.5 inches. Both displays will offer a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi will also utilize LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage.
67W wired and 50W wireless charging was also mentioned in rumors. Android 13 will come pre-installed on the device, with Xiaomi’s skin included on top of it.
